Sarah H. currently serves as the CEO and COO of SHSB Financial Group. Between 2013 to 2015, Sarah and Edward (CFO) started the initial phase of planning for the startup SHSB Financial Group with a primary goal to better plan for their family's financial future. Sarah's background in business analytics and technology consulting and her exquisite attention to detail complement Edward's macro vision of the firm. Sarah's responsibilities include overseeing Chief Financial & Strategy Officer's short term and long term plans to ensure SHSB Financial Group is heading in the best direction.
As an Information Technology Senior Project Manager at a local Dallas Energy Company, Sarah managed nationwide release of product launches. Previous to her Project Management role with the local Dallas Energy Company, she has worked with two of the Big 4 Consulting Firms, including Accenture and Deloitte Consulting, LLP - dealing mainly with nationwide energy sector clients. As a leading Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, LLP, Sarah lead Deloitte's proprietary SAP utilities solution and lead CRM demos for various utilities conventions. Her passion for perfection and attention to detail is what makes Sarah stand out amongst the sea of consultants with her clients.
Sarah graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2011 and 2018, Sarah served as the Co-Director of Fundraising for a local non-profit 501(c)(3) Against The Grain Productions (ATG) as she has always had a passion with discovering her Asian heritage and passion for the world of arts. Her newest passion is culinary arts, and spending fun-filled time with her family.
Edward H. currently serves as the CFO and CSO for SHSB Financial Group. In this dual role, Edward provides executive leadership and oversight to the firm's long-term financial planning process and portfolio management activities. In addition, he works closely with the Chief Executive Officer in determining and executing the firm's strategic vision. Edward is a strong adherent to Nassim Taleb's concept of anti-fragility which guides most of his investment and portfolio allocation decisions.
Prior to SHSB Financial Group, Edward worked as a technology and business strategy consultant over 20 years for a number of global consulting firms including Deloitte Consulting, Accenture, and Bain & Co. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Management Science and Mathematics (specialization in Operations Research) from Southern Methodist University. Edward was also an MBA Graduate with High Honors (top 5% of MBA class) from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Analytic Finance, Economics, and Operations Management.
In his spare time, Edward enjoys spending time with his growing family, discovering and imbibing new fine wines, making progress against his never ending honey-do list, and rooting for the Dallas area pro sports teams.
